CARMELADO de MASBATE

Masbate is considered as to be one of the hidden treasures of the Philippines because of its beautiful tourist destinations and undesputed natural reefs and resources. You’ll fell in love in looking for scenic sunsets, tropical gardens, waterfalls, white sand beaches, and delicious food.

In terms of delicacies, Masbate would never lag behind, it has many delicious food that you’ll never get enough. One of these is the famous Carmelado or Carmelado de Masbate. It is a brown version of pastillas; literally meaning caramelized, it uses pure carabao milk and white sugar and is wrapped in white Japanese paper. This can be found outside Masbate Port and in the saud, usually costing around P100 per pack of 30 pieces.
